Ramadan

Please join with us in praying for Muslims during this lunar month of Ramadan.

There are lots of different ideas for why Muslims fast from sunup to sundown this month, but most would say something about fasting to earn God's favor and hopefully attain salvation.

Please pray with us for Musl ims to understand more of the holiness of God.  Pray for humility to see that they need to lay down their efforts to achieve salvation on their own and need to receive the gift of forgiveness and life through Christ.  Of course, of the 1.57 billion Mu slims in the world, there are many who are nominal or who have different ideas about the Ramadan fast.

We highly recommend the following booklet- free to view or download online- to learn more about them and pray every day this month for a M uslim group.

This might sound like more than you are interested in, but please hear this testimony to see that this step of involvement could really be a blessing to you if you dare to take it.... and  pray for Muslims this next month!
It is a holy time for Muslims as they abstain from food, drink, and sex from sunrise to sunset in hopes of purifying themselves and earning reward from God. Unfortunately no amount of fasting can accomplish that. It was during Ramadan in 1997 that God worked so powerfully to give me a love for Muslim peoples. A friend asked me to pray through the 30 Days of Prayer for Muslims. I did. When I started Muslims were no different to me than any other lost peoples. But 30 days later my heart was on fire to see Jesus Christ glorified among Muslim peoples and especially Arabs. Please be praying for Muslims this month (Aug 11 – Sept 9). Pray that God will help them see that they can never earn their way to him, that they need a Savior and that his name is Jesus.
