Perhaps you saw the pic of our friends at our table? (Sorry, no posting photos here!) Well two of those friends will be staying with us for several weeks this summer.... the sweet girl will be with us and the guy will stay with our friend nearby.
This new development came about exactly one day after we shared hard heart-level truths with each other.... that this semester has been very poor language study for me (the wife). I had two sweet tutors that came to the house four mornings a week for class with me but... one girl made me feel entirely uncomfortable with her interactions with others in our home so I just couldn't study with her often (one morning) and the other sweetheart, she came three mornings a week, well.... "bless her heart" (as southerners might say) she was NOT a gifted teacher. We spent a lot of time waiting for her to think of a word or an example sentence for me...
I really yearn for opportunity to improve my language level but how does a homeschooling mama in China get time for this? Grace.... the Lord is bringing a great tutor into our schoolroom for the summer!
Would you ask that both H and K would be soft to the message of Christ? They have heard the Good News before but this is a bold opporunity to engage with Christians with each other and with not many other peers who would dissuade them from learning more.... May the Lord open wide their hearts to him!
