The school semester is in full swing again... we are back on track meeting with our regular tutors for language study and looking forward to have a full schedule of friends in our home, around our table.
Please pray that we would be able to boldly speak- either in English, the local country language, or perhaps soon in their own minority language- the Gospel. We want to proclaim Christ clearly, not just subtly slip him in after years of friendship. Ask that the Lord would give us wisdom, clarity and love to proclaim the mystery of his gospel. Pray also for soft and open hearts in these dear young friends. There are 3 ladies and 5 guys that we spend most of our time with right now.

Updated
Somehow we didn't realize that one of the prayer guide pages to the right had not been fully updated yet... but they are all up to date now.
If you have a minute, we would be so glad for you to get to know the Uyghur people more, pray for them more specifically and pray for us and for our kids with more understanding too by looking through these pages on the right.
Also, the page for New Testament prayers is a solid help for your prayers for any and every need....

Ramadan~ Night of Power
Today is a celebration day for our Uyghur friends. With Ramadan officially ended, yesterday, our friends will be feasting today.
All of Ramadan and especially towards the end of the lunar month, many devout Uyghurs are searching for special power from God, a special revelation from him. Would you please pray that they would be awakened to Christ?
Pray that the their minds and eyes and ears would be opened, exposed, as we know from 2 Corinthians 4: 4 "the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."
Pray that their cultural and traditional hurdles would be humbled and that they would be drawn like humble moths to the flame of Christ, the light of the world. (We've heard that cultural barriers are perhaps more difficult than theological ones for Muslims to cross.... but the theological ones are still great. Most especially, that Christ is God, our everlasting Savior.)
